Legalize Adoption

The race toward freedom.

Every North Korean refugee has a different story. But one story that is constantly repeated is that of the abandoned North Korean child. For whatever reason - whether deserted by their family, lost while taking a chance at freedom, or escaping from being trafficked - they've found themselves alone and desperate for survival.

In China, thousands of North Korean children roam the streets. They are alone, homeless and unlikely to survive. With no documentation, they are at a loss for basic given things in life: citizenship, education, human rights. Perhaps most tragic of all, they are unable to be considered for adoption if they resettle in the US, leaving no foreseeable way out of their situation.

LiNK is seeking to change this. You and your LiNK chapter have a unique role to play. Want to know how?

Remember that thing called democracy? We want you to USE your voices! Be a part of LiNK's LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN and implore our government to create legislation allowing these abandoned children to be adopted by their foster families once they've resettled. It's our government's responsibility to listen to its people. Speak up. Let your Congressmen and Senators know that this is a situation you want them to pay attention to.

Throw a fundraiser specifically for these children. Donate this money to help LiNK's field work. LiNK's shelter in Southeast Asia also supplies food, shelter, all the basic necessities, and helps these children get paperwork so they can begin their education. The money you raise will help sustain LiNK's work in the field.

Join us as we strive to make these forgotten children be seen by all. Take action today.
