SPRING 2012 INCENTIVE
This semester, LiNK is giving chapters a unique opportunity to hear a North Korean voice firsthand. Just by bringing an audience to see the LiNK documentary or by donating to LiNK's field work, your chapter will be entered in a drawing to win a visit from a North Korean refugee!
There are two ways to get your chapter's name in the hat:
Bring at least 50 people to your LiNK screening.
Raise a minimum of $500 during the Spring 2012 semester.
At the end of the semester, all entries will be pooled, and we will draw the names of 2 chapters that will get to bring a North Korean refugee to their communities. The more people you bring to your screening, and the more funds you raise, the better your chances of winning!
For every 50 people that attend your screening, your chapter will receive one chip to be entered into the drawing. (50 people in the audience puts 1 chip in the hat, 100 people = 2 chips, 150 people = 3 chips, etc.)
For every $500 raised, your chapter will receive one chip to be entered into the drawing. (A total of $2500 donated = 5 chips in the hat: one for each increment of $500 raised.) We'll be keeping track of chips online, so that you can see the number of times your chapter's name has been entered. The drawing will occur on May 4, 2012.
The fine print:
US and Canada-based chapters only.
Donations by mail are preferred, but can also be submitted online. All donations must be received between 12:00am PST on January 1st, 2012 and 11:59pm PST on May 3rd, 2012. Mail checks to ATTN: LiNK Chapters, 1751 Torrance Blvd STE L, Torrance CA 90501
The visit will take place anytime between May and December 2012. (We know that most LiNK chapters are at schools, so a summer visit may be not be ideal timing. We will do our best to accommodate a visit at the end of the Spring semester or during the Fall semester, if desired by the winning chapter.) LiNK will provide several tentative dates for the chapter in order to accommodate both the schedules of the chapter and the North Korean visitor.
