Want to know who's behind the scenes in the Chapters Department this summer?

Joining me (Megan, your Chapter Coordinator) are two lovely interns: Meghan and Nahee. Chapter presidents, you'll be hearing from these two as we gather input for the development of resources, attempt to improve the way things are done here at LiNK HQ, and prepare to get all of our wonderful chapters started off on the right foot this fall.

NAHEE:
Hey my name is Nahee Kwak, I’m 19 and I was born in Seoul, Korea but I grew up in a small beach town north of Seattle, Washington.  I have a twin sister, I currently attend an all women’s college called Smith College, and my mother’s main wish is for me to marry a nice Harvard man (which is not going to happen).

I became an intern because I believe it is strange to say that I am studying to be involved in the North Korea crisis, when I could be involved right now. I know I am young, but my age doesn’t stop me from doing the things I want. I joined the Smith College LiNK chapter Fall 2010 and I am going to be the President for 2011-2012.

MEGHAN:
Hi!  My name is Meghan with an “h”.  I’m 20 years old and from North Carolina.  I’m a sophomore at Appalachian State University in the lovely city of Boone.  I have curly, brown hair and I love oatmeal!

To me, working for others is fulfilling and inspiring.  I started with LiNK as a Heartland nomad in the Spring and decided to stay on for the summer as a chapter intern so I could continue to use my time and energy for something greater than myself!  I’m looking forward to working with LiNK chapters and seeing the result from all our efforts this summer.

Get excited!  These two are doing great things.
