rescue a refugee, $2500, yard sale, nomads
While on the road, the LiNK Nomads get to meet a ton of wonderful people and inspire them to make change in North Korea.
The West Nomads were lucky enough to meet someone at a "Hiding" screening who was ready to slim down her closet for a good cause. By selling clothes, shoes, and accessories online, she raised enough money to single-handedly rescue a refugee! Check out her blog and read her thoughts here: http:/
Not only did all her clothing items find happy new homes, but the money raised benefits The Hundred and will help a North Korean refugee find freedom and safety.
I'm reminded how easy it is for such little things to make a difference - selling clothes and jewelry added up to fund the rescue of a North Korean refugee.
Yard sales, garage sales, and consignment sales are a great way to de-clutter your life and benefit a good cause! Several LiNK Chapters have held yard sales this year and raised hundreds of dollars toward their respective $2500 goals. So maybe try spring cleaning a little early this year and see how much your closet can earn you!
